Does your bathroom need a make-over? Is it looking a little worse for wear? If yes, bathroom panels are a quick and effective way to spruce up the interior of your bathroom; presenting a relaxing retreat in a matter of minutes. If you are a dab hand at DIY then you can cut out the middle man and install these panels yourself – and here is your step-by-step guide.

The Right Tools for the Job

Below is a list of tools you’ll need to get the job done, make sure you have everything listed before you begin and this should make the whole installation process a lot quicker;
- Tape Measure
- Fine Tooth Saw
- Pencil
- Adhesive & Nails
- DIY Knife
- Silicone ( we recommend using the same colour as the panels)

Choose an Installation Method

There are three ways you can choose to install bathroom panels and they include;
- Adhesive & Nails
- Adhesives & Screws
The combination of the two secures the panels in place.

Starting Point

Just like tiles, bathroom panels need a starting point and usually we recommend starting from the left hand corner and working your way across the room. You can choose from different trims, including corner trims which the bathroom panel will slot right into.
When fitting the panels, it’ll be a quick tongue and groove method which is initially secured to the wall using adhesive and then a screw is placed on the tongue section of the panel. The next panel is then slotted into place hiding the screw from sight. As the bathroom panels are completely waterproof you don’t need to worry about adding additional adhesive between the tongue and groove section of the panels.
To ensure you don’t finish with a small panel it’s recommended to measure the wall first so you don’t start with a full panel and end with a small panel.
