Perfection takes planning – you wouldn’t just throw random items of clothing into your suitcase if you’re going on holiday, and you wouldn’t try and ‘wing it’ when preparing or cooking a particularly complicated meal.
Here at DBS Bathrooms, we believe the same is said for redecorating and renovating your home – especially your bathroom. To get it done right requires some financial investment, so to make sure you’re getting your money’s worth and not having to go through it all again, we’ve put together a quick list of three ways you can ensure your bathroom renovation is properly planned and thought out.
1. Visit/View A Proper Showroom
Here at DBS Bathrooms, we try our best to give you a complete idea as possible of all of our products in the images we display on our website – however, sometimes this isn’t always enough and you need to see things in person. We always welcome customers to come and visit our showroom in Atherstone (based in Warwickshire), but we know that’s not always possible or convenient.
That’s why we developed our 360° showroom tour, which you can find here, giving you a full walkthrough of our showroom so you can get a better view of our products without having to leave the comfort of your home.
2. Get Your Hands On Free Samples
The next step up from looking at a final bathroom set up in a showroom, either in person or through our interactive tour mentioned above, is to get a feel of how your ideas and designs will look in your bathroom – after all, that’s where they’re going to end up!
The last thing you want to do is to place a large order for your bathroom, open up the boxes (or worse, start decorating) and find the style you thought looked great in the showroom doesn’t quite suit your bathroom. That’s why we offer free samples on all our wall panels and ceiling panels – if you can do the same with paint samples, we don’t see why it should be any different for your bathroom!
3. Measure, Measure & Measure Again!
We can think of few worse things than fitting that snazzy new sink unit that looked so great in the showroom only to find you can’t open the door or get out the bath without running the risk of bruised knees. This seems like a simple piece of common sense, but it’s so easy to forget when you get wrapped up in the excitement of choosing new bathroom fittings that you neglect measuring and shift to estimating instead.
Draw up a top-down plan of your bathroom to scale and, using measurements from the fittings you’re looking to buy, draw up scale cut-outs of these. Move things around to see where they’ll best work and, if it doesn’t look like they will, then you can choose new fittings before you’ve actually taken the plunge.
Once you feel that you’re ready to place your order, check out our full range of products here at DBS Bathrooms. You can order samples, place your full order, take a virtual tour of our showroom or get our details to come and visit us at our showroom in Atherstone – the choice is up to you!
